Citizens Police Academy, 26th session, Friday, May 16, 2014

On Saturday, May 17, 2014 thirty-nine individuals graduated from the Twenty-Sixth Session of the Fairfax County Citizens Police Academy. The Citizens Police Academy is a ten-week educational program hosted free of charge by the Fairfax County Police Department. The program is open to individuals who live or work in Fairfax County. Participants gain a better understanding and appreciation for the Police Department through a combination of lectures, tours and hands-on activities.

Graduates completed approximately 40 hours of learning. Topics covered in the program include:

• 911 Call Center
• Patrol
• Traffic stops
• Adult Detention Center
• Gangs
• Financial Crimes
• SWAT
